Hi all,

Has anyone used or worn Norgi tops, they look interesting and there are ones with dropped backs.

Cheers in advance.

Anyone actually heard of them?

As in the old military ones made out of looped cotton? From experience on my youth they're warm when dry but utter sweat sponges.

I'd agree. Great for standing around in the cold but absolutely boiling if you start exerting yourself.

Thanks all, worth a go though, Can't be any sweaty than a ProViz jacket

I have a couple of them and really like them as work shirts. Arms are a bit baggy so need to be rolled up most of the time. PLenty warm enough around the farm. Don't give too much for them. Think I had 2 as new ones for £20. I see they are more than that each at some outlets. Maybe they are becoming trendy?

They can.

A proviz gets sweaty away from your skin, and you can not wear it unless raining.

The old skool Norwegian Army Shirt is cotton towelling. When wet it will hold it against your skin and take ages to dry. If that is a cycling or walking top, I think you will get wet and cold.

Just buy a modern baselayer. If you want the military look you can get Helly Hansen, Decathlon Merino, and many many more in olive green, half zip, long sleeve.

You could combine it with one of these in order to get a proper sweat on, even while standing still:

Well it came, kind of baselayer and very thin fleece type thing, very good construction, not tried it out on the bike yet.
Really warm, long back over my arse, great thumb hooks. Brand new for £24 what could possibly go wrong?
