I've got a group of 10 of us going to Wales.

Over half the group aren't really bikers so we've got some walking and other stuff lined up on most of the days.

On Sunday, we're kinda looking for something that'll keep the girlfriends occupied while we go hit Afan.

Does anyone know of anything good to see/do within about 30 mins drive of Afan forest???

How about Go Ape at Margam Park? Great fun, and something a little different for them.

The problem with the original op is that it is quite general - give us an idea of roughly what you are thinking of. It's a bit like me saying that I'm going to Manchester, suggest an activity.

Within 30mins drive you can get pretty much from Newport (nearly England) almost to Carmarthen (properly west wales) and up to Brecon. That covers quite a few hundred thousand people living in one of the densest populated areas of the UK (the coastal strip anyway). And strangely we have lots of things to do. But no zoos. (Not that I can think of anyway, although there is a chimpanzee sanctuary).

So randomly:

surfing
golf
castles (lots of)
shopping
drinking
sitting on a prom eating chips in the rain
paintballing
karting
indoor climbing
outdoor climbing
Dylan Thomas's boathouse
Richard Burton's old house
Catherine Zeta Jones's new house
museums
fishing
more drinking
lots more castles even if you saw the first lot
inflatable around the Gower coast
Dan yr Ogof caves for giant plastic dinosaurs
Craig y Nos castle for 'genuine' haunted nights
off shore fishing
Cefn yr Erw chimp sanctuary
National Botanic Gardens
kitesurfing
hanggliding
take a microlight flight from Swansea airport
there are still more castles left (we have lots, you can take one home with you if you want)
go to church (you know you should!)

My brainstorming is complete.

Sorry for the initial sarcasm, enjoy the rain.

Thank ye!

No apologies required for the sarcasm as thats a fine bit of brainstorming you gave there.
