Hi, you may remember me from such threads as 'Hope, Hunt or Horizon' and 'Hope Pro Evo 2 issues'...

Well i'm back, and if you were following closely you may know i bought a set of Fortus 30.
They arrived with neither tubeless tape nor valves (as specified on their site), and no spacer for an 11-speed cassette (not that i'd seen that specified anywhere). I did discover two rolls of cloth rim tape in the boxes though. Very quaint.

Anyway i contacted them about the valves and tape and they're sending some over to me - although i've gone and bought some anyway because it will take at least a week to get to Oz. However, they haven't offered to send me a spacer - read into that what you will.

I have a mostly built bike that i'm itching to ride and figured someone might have a suggestion for a spacer alternative. I've read about using a 10sp cassette spacer (I don't have one) and also a bottom bracket spacer (I have plenty). Any recommendations from someone that's got it to work.

Oh, and if you feel the need to borrow a PM, don't be tempted by any of our used ones, they're feral.

Just nip into a bike shop and ask for a spacer
Although I’m trying to think if it’s the 10 speed cassette that needs the spacer or the 11 but any bike shop near you will have some and be able to advise you best

A BB spacer should work fine.

Isn't the spacer for when you fit a Road 9 or 10 spd cassette on and 11spd Shimano freehub??

Spacer is needed for 9/10 road, 9/10/11 shimano mtb on current Hope shimano freehub bodies.

11 speed spacer is 1.85mm, so if you can find something close enough it should work. The Shimano ones have cut outs for a riveted cassette, if the cassette back is flat then a flat spacer will work.

Or an 11 speed shimano MTB cassette on an 11 speed freehub.
