Erm, OK.
Drops
Dura Ace chainset with a carbon bashguard
Poo-catching bottle cage positioning

Certainly different

of course you have ridden these dirt roads and trails i assume - you know whats best for 100 miles at leadville i assume.

Travis is no shit rider - his bike wouldnt be set up like that unless he thought it was going to give him an advantage......

Looks like the tool for the job, drops for long flattish sections, FS for the bumps, bottles because he's not a brit mountain biker who needs to take ten tons of crap along plus 3 litres of water.

Far more sensible than the 'push it up mince it down in ma body armour' brigade.

see now if tinker was a member of this forum - he would have taken the armour and full face helmet off his camelback put them on the floor and delved into the bottom to get his spare seat clamp out the bottom - removing 10 foot of spare chain - 6 tubes - 3 pumps - a shock pump - his DSLR - with 3 lenses - his back up compact camera - and 6 out of date gels

then continued with the race !

No he wouldn't. He'd have fashioned a new seat clamp out of grass, sheep phlegm, and lady juice.

Actually, thinking about it, he'd be home polishing his bikes that he never rides.

My record so far is drinking about 7 litres on a ride...
