[Closed] NFU insurance. Are they any good at paying when you need to claim?

Which? have them near the top of their customer satisfaction poll, they aren't the cheapest, but cheap is no good if they don't cover effectively.

Using them for home insurance, its £400 after specifying 5k worth of bikes, away from home cover, so it isn't too bad. I've seen cheaper but the customer satisfaction is low.

Anyone experienced NFU?

My parents and i have used I for a good few years and they're always very good with us, though that might just be because we have a good relationship with our local branch. Get a lot of farmers in the office who use them as they're always quick and sorting claims for them out too. Think they use Wheelies for bike claims, but they'll give you cash if they can't get like for like.

I'm with NFU for all my insurance - not the cheapest but excellent service, especially when things go wrong. My replacement frame was all sorted in 2 weeks, most of which was me getting quotes - can go where you like too which is a bonus.

Been with them for about 20 years (home, car, bikes) and they've always paid up and been helpful

Joining NFU tomorrow, peace of mind, might even stop sleeeping with the bike....... some nights at least.
