Considering a visit on my way past next week, but the website says the red trail is closed. No idea if that's up to date - anyone local able to confirm the current state of play?

It pains me to say it as the community needs the visitor spend but, at the moment, it’s not worth a visit for MTB. Better option is to treat it as a gravel destination.

If anyone fancies going, it was nearly all open today, there is one section, around half a mile long where the boardwalk has broken, the bit where the stane is. There is a well signed detour which follows the route, but on a fire road.
