Hi all, I'm looking for a new XC racey type of bike , probably hardtail. Are there any good deals on that anyone is aware of currently? I have a Whyte T129 that I may trade in, so could stretch the price a little maybe.

Check Pauls cycles for some cannondales and cubes in your budget.
Scott Scale is a great XC bike, you should be able to get a cracker with that budget if you get a 2016 model.
Cycle-Tec in Builth (the MTB Marathon people) are Scott dealers and have recently had some good offers on last year's models.
