I am thinking about buying a new bike, Trek Superfly 9.6, and making a few changes to save some weight.

Most obvious place to start is the wheels, after the saddle, from what i can find the Mustang TLR's it come with are far from light. On the basis that i need a general purpose XC wheel set rather than super light and having had no issues in the past with there wheels am thinking about Hope tech Xc's or on the basis i have never had an issue with DT rims, Actionsports funworks DT XR331

Can anyone offer feedback or similarly priced alternatives worth looking at?

If it matters riding will be old school XC with an aversion to going downhill.

I am also thinking about some Hope Tech XCs on my superfly. Where did you find the weight of the Mustang TLRs, I will be interested to see how much weight I can save?
