Going from 90mm to 70mm, I think it'll make my Patriot even more impossibly awesome than it already is.

No, the whole bike was the XC version they used to do back in 2007. It was always a bit of an odd thing, probably best suited to a 20 stone XC rider. I loved riding it but it was too high up, but I've lowered it and I reckon this stem is going to make it brilliant.
Each time I faff with it it's like having a new bike, it gets better and better.
