At the moment I have crappy shimano deore shifters with the windows on them, I need to get rid of the gauges as it takes up too much room on the bar so that my dropper post switch is too far away for quick easy use. They are 3x10 shifters, can anyone recommend some decent cheap shifters that will work with my giant talon 1 29er?
My 3x9 SLX shifters had removable windows when I bought them a few years ago. Not sure if LX windows are removable or not though.
Nah these windows aren't, as it leaves them exposed
Have XT shifters, got rid of the windows and use with a gravity dropper lever. Mate has SLX and he removed the windows to use with his reverb.
SLX/XT bet there isn't that much difference in real life these days.

Maybe get them from a German retail site, can be much cheaper. I have used them loads. Reasonable delivery times etc.
