It's time for a new helmet. By chance my last (Bontrager Rally) allowed me centrally mount my cheapo solarstorm light just using the o-ring around the helmet frame (because it had vents down the center line, and the o-ring happened to be the right size to go around the bridge between one of these vents).
That helmet isn't made anymore and I think it's unlikely to find another where the o-ring just happens to mount in the right position, so I need something with a gopro/accessory mount that I can attach the light to (probably replacing the solarstorm attachment with a 3d printed bit). There are about a billion different helmets out there... any recommendations?
Also, must be MIPS and well vented. I'm not massively convinced by the wavecel helmets... I'm assuming the structure hinders the ventilation?
Do such helmets exist? If i was making helmets I’d be very reluctant to endorse anything sticking out the side
I have a bell super air spherical
Fits fine
Mips
GoPro mount is mounted on a breakaway bit, so the mount and whatevers attached will come off if gets a smack.
I paid £70 not the RRP
Downsides are the straps move about in their buckles so every second ride I find myself moving the slidey bits about
