I have a pr of Hunt Gravel wheels that are black with a spec of 27mm deep, 23mm wide and 17mm inner width.
Im having a dynamo hub built into a wheel for my bike and was wondering what rim you would recommend that looked like my Hunt black disc rim? ย It doesnt have to be a perfect match, but a decent tubeless gravel rim is what i want.
Thanks
Ian
Can you not just use the rim you already have?
As an aside, 17mm internal rim width seems positively anorexic.
What size tyres are you running?
I was going to keep the front wheel as it is, so i can choose to use the dynamo hub wheel for trips. Its to power a power bank and then charge garmin and phone, not for lighting.
Its a Genesis Datum so i think the max clearance at the rear is 32mm tyres. The front is bigger as the fork seems to have a lot of space for a larger tyre.
Just measured the forks....the front would happily take a 40mm tyre
The rear is prob limited to a 35mm

I have these built up around a dynamo. Used them for Mountain Mayhem too and they were more then up to the job. They usually live on my road bike with 28s.
For over 32c DT Swiss R 500, 22 mm internal and tubeless friendly.
And yet not that many years back we (ok me) were running around on Mavic XC717 rims with MTB tyres...
17mm internal rims are just fine with 40mm cx tyres.ย My 40mm tyres (nanos) have for 17-23 rims moulded on them.
You could always ask Hunt to sell you a rim so's you can build up a matching wheel to your existing set. That's what I did.
