as title really.

I want to replace the elixrs n my bike with some shimano versions as i had a set of new xt on my old pitch.

however i cant realy afford xt prices now so its between the deore models and the slx models.

is there much difference between them or not enough to justify the extra money.

how will either pair compare to the elixr models i have (2010 elixr r sl)

cheers

steve

Slx pistons retract slightly more due to cam in the lever so you get a little more rotor clearance, but power is very similar between deore and slx. Deore weigh a bit more if you're bothered....

Love my SLX just changed from Elixrs.....tbh there isn't that much difference between the SLX and the XT apart from the SLX is 2 piece calliper and XT is 1 piece (I'm sure someone will be along to prove me wrong)

Buy them from Rose.
Like Rose on Facebook and you can generate a £10 discount code.
If you have the luxury of time buy them separately, I ordered front and rear Deors, used the FB code and a few days after the arrived rose sent me another £10 off code as a welcome present...and that was on top of the free 'backpack' included with my order!
