Through many wanted ads and super quick replies to FS threads I managed to get it finished on Friday.

I originally wanted to buy a titanium HT to use when my Blur LTc was too much bike for the trail - once I started to list my ideal spec it started to run into many thousands £'s.

My ideal spec titanium HT came in at £3.5k new so I set myself a target of 1/2 that figure, this is what I built:

All I can say is that i'm blown away with the P7 - I never considered buying a P7 before but the opportunity to buy a 2009 p7 frame in brand new condition for half price couldn't be overlooked.

Over the past few years I can safely say that i've been a full time FS rider - I recently dabbled with HT's to compliment my FS bikes through winter - but found the Chameleon & Alpitude I owned lifeless and much less fun than the other bikes I had. So they got sold pretty quickly.

Since building the P7 up i've rode Friday, Saturday, Sunday x2, Monday & i'm now waiting for the other half to get home so we can fit in some techy Hebden fun!

Im even taking the P7 to the lakes on Sunday instead of the LTc as i'm finding riding it so much fun.

Finally i'd like to say thanks to all the members who replied to my wanted ads and to everyone who sold me the bits to complete the build.

*All parts bar the frame/saddle/pedals came from the STW classifieds!

That is a very nice build there! Just done something similar myself with a Kinesis Maxlight, finished last week & only Stands me at approx £450 ( not done a proper add up yet ) Frame alone retails at £380 on CRC! Full Fox/XT/XTR etc...

Good feeling isn't it!

I cant see myself buying a new build again - my last 3 bikes have been built using ebay/stw and put together by myself - nice sense of achievement too when you complete the first ride and nothing has dropped off!

I'm happy to take the LTc off your hands, seeing as you don't need it anymore... 😉

Its pretty satisfying to be able to build a bike up from a kit of parts. My last build was partly hand me downs from my Spesh Enduro and part Classfieds bargains. Really pleased with it, now if i could just find a decent set of forks with a 240mm steerer tube in good nick at a bargain price i'd be rather happy.
It may not look completely "joined up" but it works really well and rides well too.

Not quite there yet....

Just got back in from another ride on it - Still loving it, I cant believe how much more i'm preferring to ride this compared to the Chameleon or Alpitude I had before ( IMO! - I know how much others love the chameleon)
