Build:
Build is as follows:
18in Blue Pig
Forks: 454 Pikes
Headset: FSA Pig DH Pro
Stem: 40mm Truvativ Hussefelt
Bar: 680mm Hussefelt (730mm+ low rise ones coming soon)
Grips: Pedros Dice Vice
Brakes: Saint Calipers with XT Levers 160mm rotors
Drivetrain: Mix of Shimano LX, XT, SLX and Hone Stuff
Wheels: DT 5.1D on Hope Pro2
Tyres: Maxxis Minion F front and rear
Seatpin: Thomson
Seatclamp: Ragley (not Salsa as in the pics)
Saddle: WTB Pure V

After 1 ride, I'm pretty chuffed with it, the slack/steep thing really works. Climbs well and descends brilliantly.

The slack HA makes the steep stuff feel less steep and allows you to really attack stuff.

It's ace!

Love it.
My pig is 90% complete - collect wheels this week, god willing.

Where are the pics taken, Bill?

Looks like that's built rather well to the intentions of the designer...short stem etc etc. Looks 'ardcore!

ph0010421 - The pics are taken in a special cheeky riding spot that doubles as Leicestershire's biggest Deer related Tourist Attraction.

Short stems rock - was running the same 40mm stem on my PA before building this up.

ooooh! Is that BP? Never dared ride there (not sure why in hindsight!)

Best time to go?

Yep - BP.

Best time to go? Anytime it's quiet.

Great for nightrides, but my favourite time is proper early in the morning.

Not had a run in with a ranger in ages as they seem to be very lazy and don't bother to leave their Landys at the entrance.
You get the occasional bit of verbal/dirty look from Dog Walkers who clearly think they own the place but to be honest most people are fine and it's such a big area anyway.

What are they going to do ban bikes? 😉

Having said that I would avoid riding there at 3pm on a Sunny Sunday.

That Pig looks very nice, obviously built for some serious fun. I appreciate that weight is not a vital issue, but comment's been made on here before about Blue Pig weight. As a matter of interest, do you know what it weighs?

Not a clue...

Dunno, it might be. the saddle has a raised nose so it might look worse than it is.
