What was Spondon Carpets down by Asda is now a bike shop - has Scott, Marin, Focus and Colnago in stock, seem pleasant and friendly enough.
Fortune favours the brave - difficult time to be starting any new business, hope they do all right
Staff seem friendly enough and have masses of space to work with.
One of the best locations for a bike shop in Derby with passing trade and parking and noticed on Wednesday nights they have started a shop ride out.
Yes i wish them well and already have used them .....

Phil, the Boss, has been running an online business for a few years now, and it appears it's doing well enough to open a shop. Lets hope the shop overheads dont put paid to him.
Hope they're significantly more friendly and professional than their competitors. Was in Derby the other week with 4 hours to kill, and went round all the main bike shops there. All were unanimously unimpressive and lacking in service, barring the specialist Triathlon shop where the guys in there were at least approachable and knowledgable.
Went in there at the weekend, as mentioned above its in a really good spot with parking right outside the door. Think the wednesday ride starts at 6.30pm
Got a couple of very nice Colnago road bikes that i don't need ๐
May I also let folk know about love velo opened at Darley Abbey Mills by a Stirling chap called Richard.
He is an ex shimano mechanic having worked with Maddison for over 10 years. He certainly knows his onions.
I work on Raynesway and walk to asda each lunch, unless I go the other way to pass some time in Mercian
Looks like I've another option for lunchtimes now ๐
Will check it out today
Phil from Cyclomonster in Derby is a nice guy.
Regular Notts and Derbys cyclocross competitor and allround cycle enthusiast. Worth supporting if you need a good LBS in Derby.
