Thanks to the guys on here I bought parts from (were good to deal with too), together with some wheels I found in my wardrobe, plus other bits and pieces I just happened to have lying around ๐Ÿ™„

May I present my son's new hardtail which unfortunately is far too big for me. But I'm seriously hankering after another steel hardtail so if anyone has a frame that's surplus and is a 16", e-mail in profile ๐Ÿ˜‰

Stato - may well be shonky angle of my camera work! My son hasn't seen it yet so no doubt there will be some tweaking to do.

It does look good ๐Ÿ˜€

Its supposed to be under (so you dont have to contort your thumb to reach it). There are left and right handed versions too, you can tell whcih you have by where the release button is...

Lefty..

Righty..

I think everyone who has ever had one of these has made the same mistake LOL!

Stato - thank you, that does help ๐Ÿ™‚ Must say it does look chunky compared to the lever on my DT's though.

Everyone else - open invitation to sort out my weeds/brickwork/ant nests and in return there will be some mighty fine coffee for your efforts 8)

Sirius is red but in an understated shade ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yes but the advantage with the Rockshox is you can choose your cable length. The DT/Pace ones are factory set, break it at you peril cos its a fork strip down to fix it (if not replace an internal part!)

Stato - fear not, I'm a wuss rider so don't break things ๐Ÿ™‚

Dez - can't remember if you ever saw my Rock Lobster? Was very happy with it but I had a mid-life crisis hence the arrival of a Ti ๐Ÿ™„ The Ti is brilliant around Swinley, Hampshire, Chilterns etc but had a wee bit of trouble in the Quantocks, Purbecks, Exmoor due to its silly light build.

A steel hardtail just feels so solid and reassuring but it would not replace the Ti. My full suss is hardly used so had thought of replacing it with a steel hardtail. Women's logic huh ๐Ÿ™„

Am now awaiting all the pointing and laughing ๐Ÿ˜‰

August?
Well, only if you're coming this way because we're now broke and going overseas is not an option for a while.

Do you mean at the BBB?

If so, yes.
