So, I'm a little out dated and still run 9 speed - 1x9 to be precise.
I was set up with a Blackspire 36t narrow wide ring and a standard (non-clutch) mech, as I'd read a fair few people had this set up with no problems. I wasn't dropping the chain at all, but I was walking up too many hills...
So I swapped the ring for a 32t One Up ring, took a few links out to take up the chain slack, but now I'm dropping the chain all the time.
So I figure I have two options:
1) I have a Truvativ chain device with a top guide and bottom roller - I figure just fitting the bottom roller may solve the problem
2) Go back to 2x9 until I need a new cassette then go to a 10/11 speed set up with clutch mech
Any ideas?
