I sold my cargo bike, after not riding it for a year, and my X was getting creamed being used for commuting, so I decided to remake my monstercross fixie**** bike as a sensible town bike.

It's the Solitude frame I won at the Hamsterley SSUK, which has never been pretty but has been a drop bar 29er SS and a monstercross fixie and is now a sensible commuter bicycle:

Up front are some new Salsa forks and a PDW Takeout basket/bag. The basket blocks the use of bar lights, so I now have twin fork-mounted headlamps. PDW Sodapop fenders keep my arse dry, and Conti Speed City tyres are reasonable fat and solid but will hopefully roll well enough.

Apologies for being clothed in the reflection.

Gravel needs weeding, and I hate being the one to tell you this ... but from the reflection it looks like someone has stolen your legs. How do you pedal?

I need to tilt the Brooks up; I kept sliding to the front on my test ride yesterday.
