£105 for the bike (cheers Martin), £10 on bar tape. Road tyres, pedals and a bottle cage from the spares box. I'm well chuffed. I just need to put some mudguards on now.

Frame and fork from ebay which also came with 10 speed tiagra shifters and mechs, seatpost, saddle, bars and stem. Flogged everything apart from the frame and forks to cover the cost and buy some SKS mudguards. I dug the 9 speed tiagra kit out of the spares box and gave it a proper service and a clean. New cassette, chain and reliable winter tyres and all in all it owes me around £70. I have already saved that in petrol.

I got this Genesis Day03 off ebay for a bit over £200 - it was immaculate and hardly ridden...

OP, save the colour of the bar tape and saddle, that is the exact same bike as the one I've been commuting on for the last 4 years and got wrecked in an accident last month. 😥
