I did the Haute Route last year and am looking for something similar off road,
So far I have :
Ironbike
TransAlp
Transprovence
Transavoise

Any others I should look at ? I enjoy riding uphill as much as down so am looking for something with not to much uplift.

Cheers All

4 very different events there.

Iron Bike - Toughest MTB stage race in the World. 7 days and 28,000m climbing (up to 9 days for 2013).
TransAlp - Pro level stage race, very much a fast paced racing stage race. Not known for technical downhills.
Trans Provence & Trans Savoie, both Enduro style stage races.

If Iron Bike is more your bag, then also consider Trans Pyrenees and Trans Portugal.
Beskidy Trophy and Sudety Challenge both look excellent, they are in Poland.

Tbh I am not entirely sure what I am after, just doing a multiway event was such fun and taking uplifts seems cheating, so trying to find out what the options are and what people have done
MTB challenge looks excellent and I shall check out the trans pyr and Portugal .
Cheers

I think the Sudety looks like the latest incarnation of the MTB Challenge stage race, which I rode a few years ago. Great riding on the Czech/Polish border, and lower fees than some of the big Euro events. Nice mix of riders and nationalities, everything from elite XC to weekend warriors.
