After viewing a substantial amount of cycling videos on Youtube and Vlimeo,it has come to my attention of the range of clothing that is worn.Bright and loose fitting garments-helmets.
I have never been one for fashion, and in my cycling wardrobe it is mix of Altura or whatever aldi or sports direct have.lycra and a standard jersey is suffice.
refelctive is a must due to being on the road alot too!

Anyone conform to the fashion?

Have you seen the number of threads with people seeking approval for what they wear!?

I never wear fluorescent or highly reflective stuff because I think it looks stupid. May well kill me one day. Hey ho.

Most of my stuff is black although I do have a 'kin bright Atlura Night Vision jacket for dark rides. Refuse to wear anything that has fancy colours or large logos on it. Prefer to look like the Milk Tray man, and black is also a very slimming colour and very much of this season I've been told!

Anything I have to hand - invariably purple cycling tops from the last time I had spare cash; call it 1996. Stuff gets muddy, smelly and torn so why bother too much?

Don't worry about it, I'm sure your current low key, low budget non conformist conforming garb allows you to blend right into the background when you're out on the bike. just the way you like it.

I mean, if you had bright, loose fitting garments on people might notice you. They might expect you to be able to do tricks or ride your bike with skill and style, that might be awkward and disappointing.

Best stick with your current uniform, leave those fun colours for young hooligans.

anti-fashion is a fashion in itself.

I still wear a Stumpjumper top from 1988.
