Right, so out for a spin round the Peaks today and took a bit of a clumsy tumble on something I shouldn't have done and ended up bending my XT lever to a bit of a garish angle. Particularly gutted as I'd just spent a bit of time bleeding them and changing pads ready for my Alps trip on Thursday.
So question is, can you get hold of replacement lever blades for them for not silly money - I've seen the Straightline ones and the whole lever body is cheaper from CRC. Struggling to see just blades at first glance on google though.
Any idea??
Did the same with mine, just bend it back?
I could just bend it back but worried about it being weaker for doing so, especially as I'm in the Alps next weekend and will be hanging off them levers for dear life!!
Bent mine quite a way and they're still solid, use a piece of tubing on the lever carefully.
Not sure you can buy just the lever blade??
I swapped an XT lever blade over for a customer a couple of weeks back. Your LBS should be able to source a new lever blade and sort it for you or you could drop it into 18 Bikes in Hope and we can sort it for you
