[#1917312]

I ordered from CRC around 9.30am on thursday and chose the 48hr delivery. Thought the parcel would be here this morning, but parcel force told me any time from 7am to 5pm. So mess up another day, thanks. I wanted to collect it cos the depot is only 2 miles away in Patchway, Bristol. But cant do that, so whethers crap, cant do anything and was hoping to have the bike done for tomorrow.

Oh well

I've never had any problems with them, used for posting bikes, guitars etc and no complaints here.

How rude of Parcelforce not fit in their deliveries with desired time. Shocking service.

It's Saturday! Parcelforce 48 despatched on Thurs will deliver Monday. That said I've had a few things delivered on a Saturday without requesting a Sat delivery - lucky I guess.

I used to run a Mail Order despatch room

[sweeping statement]
If you want things specifically delivered on a Saturday it's a hefty premium with most couriers if they provide Sat coverage at all.
48hr service is really 2 business days, but if they're really quiet they might chuck it out on a Saturday

And if you ring 'em up on a Saturday to check .. they'll say the drivers operate up until 1/5/7pm .. but that means they'll operate until the van's empty which could be as early as 10am and they don't tell you the phone lines shut at noon. basically they're just getting you off their back until Monday which will be different staff on the phone.

oh, how crap. I did phone the customer service depot number for patchway bristol and said i can cycle there in 20 mins and pick it up. They said "oh, you cant do that". What does it take for them to locate my parcel which is cataloged on a system and I pick it up, but that means helping a customer

Parcel force are actually VERY good.

I think that you will find that 48 hour delivery will not mean delivery on a Saturday. You will see your parcel on Monday. Perhaps you should have done some research before choosing the cheap ass postage option ๐Ÿ˜‰

Might not be at the depot yet. If they've had a busy Fri it might yet still be on route from one of their hubs... or wherever it's been holed up while more prioritized (10am, 24 and SAT) services go past it.

I think skeleton crew of drivers/sorters still operate over the weekend proper but not sure.

AND .. did it even leave CRC on Thurs? They are in the middle of a no doubt busy sale.

Most parcelforce packages go through their main sorting hub in coventry, the business park they're on had to be evacuated following a bomb scare over Wednesday night Thursday morning. I use Parcelforce for my business and we were informed that some packages might be delayed as a result as they catch up. I guess it's just unfortunate, I find parcelforce are generally pretty good.

Sorry, but it doesn't sound like you paid for Saturday delivery, only 48hr delivery, which means it's Monday before you get it.

Saturday delivery would have been a different option that would have incurred an extra fee.

Did you just select the free option?

Parcel force are shite. Ordered from CRC with express 24 on thursday, tracking says the package is still in Ireland.

I have bought so much stuff from CRC with parcel force recently that I will not be checking my funds until after pay day. Every time it has arrived in four days at the very latest. Tbh I am sick of this trend that is doing the rounds of bitching about services. Carry on.

SKIBOY, got a problem?!

As has been stated 48hrs refers to the working days.
Monday you will get your parcel!
Cant be too bad, i delivered a Lapierre to Arddleen on Saturday. That was sent out late friday by CRC.
Guess Mr Mottershead was willing to pay for the service he wanted and parcelforce are quite happy/capable of suppling.
He wanted to race Sunday.........he did!

There were security issues Thursday morning but only a small percentage was affected.
