If you could spend a month in the Alps without working, where would you go and why?
Chamonix, Bourg Saint Maurice, Verbier?
A week spent in 4 different places I think. Unless you have to be stuck in one place the entire month..?

What four places though? Multiple locations would be my first choice but It looks likely that I'd be billy no mates for a least part of the time so guessing its easier to meet folk if you stay in one place. Far cheaper staying in one spot too. I also like the idea of getting know somewhere really well as opposed to a few places vaguely.
For me it'd definitely be a road trip. A week based around bourg, another chunk of time for the pds based out of morzine, covering samoens, les carroz etc from there too, pila in italy, crans montana and bex in switzerland, la thuile and more. If you've not got transport then PDS or les arcs area for me depending on your preference for more dh or natural all mountain type stuff.
the area in Austria around Grossglockner is beautiful..
Ideally a road trip, alpi bike resorts/montgenevre/Orcieres (assured weather), deux alpes/alp-huez, tigne (free lifts), portes de soleil. 1 week each.
