Trying to fit a Hope MonoMini caliper to the back end of an older Inbred - the IS to Post bracket appears to be too wide to fit between the IS slots and the rotor....am I missing something as it seemed OK when fitted to my son's AtomLab frame?

Different wheel. Atomlab lab wheel was Formula hub (QR) with Halo Combat 24" rim Inbred wheel is a standard XT (QR) hub with Mavic 719 rim. Both axles 135mm. *still puzzled*

Is it a 6 bolt rotor and centre-lock hub? If so, maybe adapter installed incorrectly?

I seem to remember the same problem on mine, but with an Avid caliper. I had a few mm took off the adapter by our toolmalker. Still got the adapter if you don't get sorted. Can see the shiny machined face of the adapter in this pic...

I've had to take a file to a brake adaptor too, as some wouldn't fit the swoopyness on some Marzocchi forks my wife used to have.

Be brave 🙂

Check the brake mount is welded onto the frame in the right place. It isn't on my inbred.

Yeah, I'd machine a bit off that. Brake adaptors often need a little work, I find...
