Anyone doing it? Done one before?

Looks like it will be fun.

I think Tracey made a thread about it yesterday. Sounds interesting.

They're good. I did the one at FoD last February and it's a well organised little series with a laid back feel cos of the push up. A good mix of people and skills too with 10 year olds, old duffers and some pros competing for fun.

I did the Chicksands one as well was a great day out in the woods. Lots of time to muck about on other tracks as well as a bit of competition to keep things interesting!

Might try to get along to the FOD one as I've not been before..

Anybody got more info on this? I checked out the FOD web page but there's nothing on it.

Just done some more digging
http://nps4x.com/joomla/index.php/Latest/661-Mini-Downhill-FOD.html

Says it's entry is now closed though

is it worth the trip down from Manchester for the day, not specifically to the Downhill event but in general??

That link is for the 2008 races. Try here - http://www.minidownhill.com/
Plenty of entries left I should think.

Watch them on my normal Sunday ride. just be aware that you get about 2 minutes ride total for your entry fee. Assuming you stay on the bike.If you like being part of the fun, why not but you only do about a third max of any of the down hill runs. go another weekend and do lots more for nothing.
If you want to try something with little stress, good thing to enter tho'.
