A well laid out undulating course,plenty of free parking, great commentry etc.
T'was quite good fun. My first 'proper' xc race, in Masters for some reason! I was quite pleased not to finish dead last. Liam Killeen lapped me TWICE in a six-lap race. Those lads can shift!
I was 10th in Elite and he had lapped me...
Loved it!
First time for me at the Midlands XC, I think on reflection the bike I brought along could have done with a few more gears. It's definitely hillier than Thetford.
But great fun course, surpassed only by the pleasure of sitting on the grass with a jacket potato watching the afternoon racers flying past.
I didn't come last, but was pretty close 🙂
Some things should be left unseen.... were there women and children around?!?

My first 'proper' xc race. Entered masters but got spat out the back early on, just tried to ride my own pace from then on. Last lap was lonely/painful. Didn't finish last, but it was close! Sport cat next time I think!

I would of loved to ride this but got stuck away with work in Scotland. Is the track going to be available to ride for a few weeks before it gets shut?
