Building up a Major Jake frame to have a go at cross this winter. Will I get away with using a Middleburn triple chainset (isis) re chain line?
If I take off the inner ring will the chain line work alright.
Considering sticking in 29er Mtb wheels which seem to fit the frame OK.
Prefer this wheel option as I intend to run discs and not my old style froglegs. I like the idea of being able to stop when I feel the need.

As long as it'll clear the chainstays the chainline will be fine if you use a 108mm BB (or find one with an adjustable chainline and run it as far to the left as you can).
29er wheels are great for cross with discs, plus if you get/have a 29er you have a spare pair.
