organising volunteers for some cycling with teenagers over the summer, normally have folk with tcl as i have done e smblatcl and mbl and know what the training and assessment covers. Have just had an application from someone with MIAS lel 1 never come accross it before, says on website to lead on non technical terrain such as towpaths and forest tracks (forest tracks could cover a lot). Anyoen done the MIAS could enlighten me on what it covers re skills, coaching etc. I imagine it may be very similar to tcl just keen to find out.

Done the MIAS course. From what I remember the level one is aimed more at fire road type stuff, all within close reach of road access and not at any great altitude.

From what I remember anyway, it was 2006!

As above.

Nothing too challenging - Fireroad / singletrack with only smaller type rocks / smalldrops approx 12 inches high on waymarked tracks.
