Been searching around but can't find answer I am after.

I have a e-type XT front mech and am looking at running a 22/36 + bash.

Basically I want to know if this will work?

Shimano state min. difference between top and intermediate 12T here but can't see the max difference between small and intermediate.

I have read that 14T is max but you need to move front mech up seat tube (not possible with e-type to do this)

Thanks in advance

I've ridden 22+36+bash (with e13 drs) on a mate's bike and it shifts just fine. Not a bad spread of gears either. Hone cranks, bb mount DRS chain device and high band xt front mech if that's any help: not sure if an e-type mech would clear a 36 tooth ring in the middle position though.
