A friend of mine has recently taken delivery of an 2009 Iron Horse mkIII comp on special from an internet based shop (don't know which). Unhappy with the standard of PDI he has passed to me for tweaking and fettling.

One of the issues is the the Manitou Minute 140 TPC's only have 67mm of travel before a very mechanical feeling stop / bottom out.

Has anybody had a similar experience? Or, am I missing something silly like travel adjust?

Where most of the issues on the bike I have dealt with, I loathe to pull apart a brand new pair of forks when it is most likely warranty.
