So I'm in the process of upgrading my cannondale rush and it's kind of an ongoing project that I'm obsessing over as of late. After changing to X10 sorting the cockpit out and changing the wheels my next step is to get a dropper post. I tried my first one a while back whilst test riding the Whyte t130 yari and I totally get all the rave reviews of these things, it transformed my handling of the bike through corners instantly so I'm hell bent on getting one now but the question is which one?

The reverb is what I tried and is my only un-comparable experience with a dropper so far, it was pretty good, it did what I thought it would when I told it and I've also heard lots of great things about it.

Then I read an article on the Magura vyron electric wireless dropper post and I thought it sounded amazing.
After looking abit more into it I have become pretty impressed with what it has to offer with its minimal installation fuss, neat cable free aesthetics and easy functions. The price and weight is also comparable to other posts like the reverb too but the only downside I've heard of so far is the slight delay in actuation of its motion, apparently 1.5 seconds after you press the button on the wireless remote that you mount to the bars. Now this doesn't sound ideal but me being a dropper Virgin I reckon I can easily get used to this as I haven't got any other experience with any other posts to make me feel biased.
I do like the appeal of the lack of cables too as my frame is older and doesn't have internal routing, after going to a 1x10 drivetrain I've really gotten used to the lack of mess up front on the bars and the thought of adding more cables doesn't fill me with joy.

I guess what I want to know is has anyone got one or had a lengthy experience with using one? As I would love to know how it's function is a few months out of the box whether it has lost power in its actuation or if the battery life has dwindled? If there is significant annoying play on the saddle or any rattling? Is that slight time delay in drop really a problem?

It seems like it's the way forward for a lot of bike parts going wireless and electronic, should I wait a while to see if other market leaders respond to Maguras futuristic gadget or have they hit the nail on the head straight out of the gate?
