I just picked up a nice used condition Magura Durin SL with 1 1/8th steerer for my Transition Ripcord kids project.
Pulled it apart and mostly good. ready for a rebuild but not much use on it. New O-rings while its open, seals and oil and it'll be a peach.
The only downside is that with it being the super svelt SL version, it has the Albert SL cartridge so non-adjustable XC racer threshold well above what my little guy will be able to blow through.
Looking for a parts only Durin to salvage a DLO lever or Albert select cartridge from
OR, any suggestions as to possible tuning to reduce/delete the threshold?
I was thinking 2.5wt rockshox oil to keep things light but might end up with other side effects

I didn't have any issues running lighter oil in mine, 5wt iirc, I'm 10st4
Can't see 2.5being much of a problem.
Not a Durin, but I ran a lighter oil in my Wotan bitd. Partially to change the feel of the damping, partially to be able to use an oil that didn't turn to snot in minus temps. I remember only positive effects.
Magura used to have, maybe still do, a pretty good customer service forum that had threads for old stuff.
