Tightening the u-turn side shaft bolt worked to a point, it's supposed to be tightened to about 7nm. But before that point, the bolt starts to turn the u-turn dial instead. If I hold the u-turn dial, turning the shaft activates the u-turn instead, winding the fork down.
I dont want to carry on tightening it at minimum travel, as that might damage the u-turn spring assembly.
Any ideas?
I've serviced u-turn air Pikes and Revs, and not had this issue.

Try to compress the fork a bit while you tighten the bolt, turn em upside down with the axle fitted and press on the axle while you tighten the bolt
