What's the solution? I'm assuming air is in the wrong place.

How much is a coil cartridge, how easy to swap and where from?

Had the same problem and got them sorted under warranty by Fishers.

Also thought about coil conversion - reckon TF Tuned a decent option, prices here - http://www.tftunedshox.com/service/rockshox.aspx

I picked them up dead cheap s/h. Previous owner had already sent them back under warranty.

If there is no easy fix then I'll swap a coil assembly in.

To convert to coil you need :-
Lyrik U-Turn Spring -£52.99
Lyrik U-Turn Top-Out Spring Assembly -£21.50
U-Turn Travel Adj Knob, Alu, Coil - £17.99
Pretty easy to do and transforms the fork.

The two step system is not very reliable, as above coil convertion is best bet, drop me a mail for prices and availability of parts 😉

Mine do that too. Been meaning to get them converted to U-Turn coils for a while. A strip and rebuild sorts them out, but they creep down again pretty soon. IIRC it's the positive air leaking through to the negative side, pushing them down.

"THEY ALL DO THAT SIR"
Is this true for all two steps or did SRAM get it sorted from 2010* onwards.

*looking for a 160mm fork that is light and cheap

Allegedly the 2010 ones are better... Mine has 2010 internals now, still don't trust it... First time round it blew up in the post, didn't even get to ride it before the 2-step broke, that's awesome really- failed in a very convenient way.
