I've managed to destroy 2 pairs of my Endura's by wearing them to death 💪 I'm now down to my least favourite " last resort" options. I usually buy the cheaper Endura with the 200 series padding , last time I got them for about £15 a fair bit different now 🙄

So is it worth spending more for the better chamois or stick with what I'm used to ?

Rapha trail liners are great. They aren't £15 either though.

Indeed they aren't! 😳While looking for them I noticed Patagonia Dirt Roamer for £45 wonder what they're like?

I've been using DHB Turbo indoor shorts as a mountain bike liner and find them really good - I'm not sure if they still make them, maybe not  - they were going for 15 quid in their recent fire sale. They have an okay pad and mesh panels so they don't too sweaty under baggies or pants. I find their standard waist shorts a bit warm, but okay otherwise.

Fwiw, I think a top-end pad is less crucial on a mountain bike as you tend to move around on the saddle or be off it more regularly than on the road, though it still helps on proper epic all-day stuff.

Any good lycra IMO, it doesn't have to be liner specific.

My Galibier liners or bibs or Scott shorts kick my Endura liners into touch, as do Endura's own or Altura's normal lycra shorts.

I’ve got some Dirt Roamer bib liner shorts - they are very good, but due to sheer, see-through Lycra they should never be worn in public outside of a fetish club

dovebiker so the difference then is a liner are for the exhibitionist 😁

I always wear baggies or trousers over them anyway , no one needs to see my 68 year old body 🤢

I haven't worn anything other than rivelo (sportpursuits own brand) for several years now. I just find them really comfy and the price is decent too
