Heading there with the family for a couple of days. Can anyone recommend a 2-3 hour loop of rocky goodness?

Dales Bike Centre will sort you out with a loop if you pop in. Failing that, this is a good starting point.

Indeed Stu was very helpful. I found some great singletrack amongst the slap heaps by the abandoned mines.
