I've got a loop from Bogtrotters which takes in the path past Ulswater, which direction and any advice on bits we shouldn't miss..

Slog up to Boredale Hause and take the downhill into Bannerdale/Boredale. If you head into Boredale watch out for the walkers coming uphill.
