Looks like good value as I want to enter the world of full sus.
I'm finding that my hardtail is beginning to bump and bang too much exas i'm developing my confidence and and speed on the downhill stuff.
Thanks for any tips
They are good value but only buy if you're after a dedicated DH / freeride bike. It's not something you want to be pedalling up hills.
Well.. the schpeel (loving the speling) from kona is that its equipped with a double sprocket on the front to enable climbing..
Given that my usual MTB MO is to ride to the top of a hill and plummet back down again to the start do you think I'm looking at the right bike?
(I'm not much into miles and miles of flat off road stuff, given my nearest off road stuff is exmoor.)
In much the same way as Ferrari's have boots which aren't much use for carrying anything more than a spare pair of pants. Yes they have a boot, but dont expect to be able to put a sofa in it.
i have an older slightly longer travel stinky and its not fun to climb on !
but if you want to get into DH its a good place to start
they are very cheap at evans at the moment
Talk you out of it you say?

I would say it depends on what you think of as downhill. A stinky is a hell of a lot of bike - especially as your first full sus. Most 6 inch "all mountain" bikes are capable of downhill and uphill in equal amounts. If you want to push up and ride down then that's what a stinky is for.
Cheers guys,
you talked me out of it! ๐
