i'm looking at getting a rear shock for my enduro expert 09
now looking on the specialized wedsite it's saying the shock size is 8.75x2.5 but measuring it on my bike it looks more like a 8x2.5 (not the most accurate measurement)
and this confused me even more
any help much appreciated
In metric it's 200 x 57, or 8.75 x 2.25 Ring TF tuned and theyll sort you out
cheers bregante
bit confused i thought that 200 was in mm which would make it a 8 inch eye to eye
Err, you've got me wondering now. My van rc is definitely 200x57 though on my 08 sl!
Definitely 200 x 57 (I changed the shock on mine thereby. An RP23 is sweet on it)
cheers jhw thinking of going coil
I'm greedy and have a van rc but have also just bought an rp23 off here for longer days out. The van rc is superb for uplifts and daft stuff though. It feels as good as my old big hit but pedals up hill pretty well. Got lyrik uturns on it as well!
yeah looking at the vans at the mo does it make much harder on the ups
The extra weight is noticeable but it very much depends how you have it set up. TF Tuned recommended me a coil size based on my weight and type of riding I do. I have done plenty of all dayers (Peaks etc) on it without too much trouble but now I have the lyriks as well the overall bike weight is reaching the limit of where I want it to be (about 33lbs), hence the rp 23
