Hi, im looking for a 1990's steely hardtail (rose tint specs ahoy )- preferably a Joe Murray Kona Cinder Cone/ Lava Dome/ Fire Mountain etc.
Like this:

OR a Marin Eldridge/ Bear Valley/ SE/ Pine Mountain etc

Im not too bothered about cosmetics, but as long as everything is straight and threads (bb and mech) are good, im interested!
Would prefer not to have a complete dog thats rusted and beaten up though

Im looking for a cheap retro renovation project to replace the 20" GT Avalanche frame that i have on my XC ride. The GT is up for sale by the way- pics on request.
It's too big for me and i prefer steel not alloy.

PS: If you live in the SE London/NW Kent area, even better as we can cut out postage and i can collect 😀

Not sure it this floats your boat, but I have a 93 or 94 Marin Team issue.

Presently it is sporting some pace copy carbon fibre stantioned suspension forks.

Frame is straight, except a bit of a ding on the chainstay (big rock)

Might benefit from a respray but I beleive threads etc are all good.

Let me know if it floats your boat and rough offer price if it does...........can do photos etc

Hope this helps
Al

I was watching that 😀
Isn't it a 19"? Bit too big for me if it is...
Still would be interested if it measures up as a 17".

Floats my boat- how much. Hopefully it'll match my budget. Please email me some pics 😀

Will grab some later on today when I get a chance; but it's this one 2000 fire mountain

Virtually stock (only change is the front forks were swapped from RST's to RS Indys and it's ended up with a Marin seatpost)

Never posted a bike before; any idea what postage costs would be like ?

Im only after the frame, not a whole bike- i've got lots of lovely things to bolt on it 😉
Postage i think is about £10 for frame on its own nearer £15-£20 for a whole bike. And dont take it to the post office as they'll pull funny faces at you, phone a courier like UPS or Fed Ex and they'll come collect it from you 😀
