I was in just the same position about 18months ago. I spent more so I'm not in bangernomics country but as the Octavia estate had given up the ghost I bought a 159 2.4 JTDM saloon to tide me over while I got another estate. I've added over 50k miles and had a new clutch but nothing has ever caught me unawares or given me reason to regret hanging on to it. Actively looking for a similar sportswagon.
Mate round the corner had a great one the same as yours and its what I was looking for but at the time there wasn't anything about. Enjoy.
