Last day in the Lakes today and would like to try the route, but forceast is rain and gusts up to 30mph.

Aye, just get off at the dodgy bit. You'll know it when ye see it, 2 people have died there in the last few years.

It will be fine, sw'early so you'll get mainly tailwind up . The bit that has had the 2 unfortunate accidents is short (slabby bit) . If your unsure about that bit get off and walk.

Well I survived! Thanks for the advice.

Was VERY blowy but huge fun. Easy to see how those slab sections have huge potential for things going wrong.
