Have I got this right ๐Ÿ˜•

80mm suspension corrected frame - 420mm AtoC rigid fork
100mm suspension corrected frame - 440mm AtoC rigid fork
120mm suspension corrected frame - 450mm AtoC rigid fork

The last one seems too short but thats what seems to be around ๐Ÿ˜•

Any help would be appreciated.

Frame is corrected for a 100 - 130 mm suspension fork.

I have no idea but it worked okay on my 456.

What frame is it? 100-130mm is quite a range - 440mm would probably be ok.

That said I also used cr-mo fork on my 456 from on-one which was 440mm I think and it cornered like a house fly, really sharpened the bike up.

Don't run a short rigid fork on a long travel HT. It'll end in tears.

Tall rigid fork on a slack HT is great fun, shame there aren't many fork options.

I ran an On-One 29er rigid fork on a Voodoo D-Jab (100-130mm travel when I had a suspension fork) for a while. It was great fun. I enjoyed it much more than when I had a twitchy short rigid fork in the past.

Definitely worth considering, I think.

Soul = 440mm. If you check the geometry on the website it'll probably tell you that it's measured using a 100mm fork sagged 30% or something.

edit - but as Aiden says, depends what you're after really. Twitchy & fast or slack & stable.

I put a 440mm rigid fork on a long forked hardtail and it felt awful. really bad. The whole thing was far too stiff, the head angle was crazy, and i kept clipping the pedals on stuff.
i've got another bike thats designed to be rigid and that feels fine by comparison.

On a long travel HT, to replace a 140mm fork (~510 a-c) that's run at 30% sag, then you're looking at a ~470mm rigid fork.

Cheers DD.

On the basis that the mid point of travel is often the sweatspot ๐Ÿ˜• then a 450mm fork to replace a 120mm fork should be okay ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜•
