Is silk the way forwards under the windstopper gloves to get me through the winter months? Or is there a better alterantive these days?

Silk or merino, I reckon.

I'm getting some silk ones for this year. Got some of those glove liners from CRC last year and they were brilliant in my winter gloves but were a nightmare to get both on

I have a pair of light weight Altura polyester running gloves, they get me through most of the winter underneath my full finger gloves,

I've been thinking of doing the same. Seethiscompany for a few ideas - used their t shirt base layer a while ago, it was pretty good, but not tried the gloves yet.

I've used army surplus thermal jobs for a while - seem good

Icebreaker Merino liners. Not cheap but very effective and very thin

Just avoid any of the Coldstoppers range, absolutely awful.
