I've used this road on my daily commute for the last 10 years without resorting to the path. Mr Evans fails to point out that the shared cycle path is on one side of the road only, ends half way along and disappears into an estate, the unclassified road in question is wider than most A roads with a 60 limit, is a clearway and there's a 7.5 tonne limit.

You don't have to use the cycle lanes if you don't want, don't like riding in them as they are usually full of broken glass and other sharp objects. 😐
I may be wrong, but dont cycle lanes have a 15 mph speed limit?
