Frame has developed an awful squeak when back end is compressed.
It's either the linkage/pivot at he BB or where the shock mounts.
Have tried lubing linkage and pivots but still continues
Any thoughts please?
Have u tried the rear articulation spacers ( the ones by the rear der ) ? Mate just bought a brand new zesty and that was the culprit.
I had the same with mine try the seat rails
Defo not the seat, you can feel the creak through the seat tube.
As for articulation spacers, ain't got a clue what hey are?
Thinking now bearings could be shot.
Anyone know if there are any part lists and drawings for the spicy?
Would be interesting to maybe see a photo of this fault location as my zesty 514 has the same issue I think, would like to get it sorted
Thanks
Hmmm. Check your shock is not catching the side of the frame mount at the seat tube location.
Dry pivot.
relatively easy to sort with some Lithium grease and patience.
I had a squeak on my Zesty. Dismantled the pivots and refitted with bearing fit (stud lock) on the mating surfaces. Grease would also have done the job.
I had a similar creak on the Titus FTM, that turned out to be some dirt at the horst link pivot, but it still neeeded dismantling to clean.
Lubing without dismantling won't get inside the pivots that well, as from what I remember, they are a weird multi piece male/female threaded arrangement.
Think it was Dry pivots.
Sprayed or should I say drenched it in WD40, now not a creak.
Gonna strip and regrease all bearings and pivots.
Cheers all for comments. 😉
have you eliminated the bb, short lifespan on lap's.
mine makes a hell of a creak/cracking sound when they are shot.
is the sound still there when youre freewheeling or is only when you are pedalling?

My experience with my Zesty is that, even though it's very tempting, oiling pivots can give you temporary relief but it'll be washing the grease out so the noise will be back and even worse pretty quickly.
Proper regrease, as you intend to do, is the way forward.
