She rides flats - isn't interested in SPDS. I suggested 5:10s but she took a look at them and decided they would make her look 'special'.

so, ladies, which tacky soled shoe for my good lady which she's likely to find appealing..?

Thoughts much appreciated!

5:10's cos I'm special ๐Ÿ™‚ I wear men's ones but the girlie ones are edged in lilac and are quite acceptable.

Previously used Shimano and they are rubbish compared to 5:10's.

I'm more interested in them doing the job rather than what they look like!

Nike 6.0 have a few ladies models, reasonably soft and stiff sole and just look like skate shoes.
Wifey has a set of these. but these are another option.

Until I discovered 5.10's, I used to use Vans and got on pretty well with them - lots of different colours available, and they were OK for my pedalling style. I know some people don't get on with them, but you can get them cheap enough that it's not the end of the world if they don't work.

Or I had a pair of 661s for a while - noticeably stiffer, but I never tried them offroad. They seemed to grip reasonably well, but not sure how well they would work on properly bumpy routes...
