Anyone recommend any that don't chafe or have a method of them not chafing? I have Kyle Straits and after 30 miles round Cannock yesterday I have two very sore patches on my knees.

Tip: wear knee warmers underneath.

Edit: ensure that knee warmers sit lower down than the pads.

I wouldn't wear any but dodgy knees mean I'd like to look after them.

never had any problems with Kyle Straits, and due to excessesive bleeding/bruising problems, they're a must, as is the piss-pot helmet. 😯

Friend of mine wears tubey grip bandage stuff under his. He says it stops them rubbing.

Greg... you are obviously peddling too much...

You should just get off and walk the hills like I do!

;o)

LOL! I only walked the two tight tree drops (full on pansy mode) 😉

I meant walk up the hills... not down!

;o)

Which drops are they? I had to walk the Weirwolf drop as I so knackered I could hardly walk at the time, so thought riding that might be tempting fate a little!

The one on the Monkey, up some boardwalk between two trees and the Weirwolf. Other than that, cracking day out.

I don't even remember one on the Monkey... maybe I was riding better than I thought that day!

And agreed... a cracking little ride...

My Kyle Straits used to chafe me - I stopped fastening them as tight and now they dont.

My Kyle Straits are the most comfortable pair of pads I've ever used.
I feel naked without them now.
They stay in place without doing the straps up tight. I sometimes climb with them over my shins and pull them up for the descents if it's a very hot day.

+1 for POC.

I used to 661 race and they were fine on long rides also.
